Meet Jazzy – A Warrior Seeking Her Second Chance
14-year-old | ~15 hh | Companion & Light Riding Prospect
Some horses arrive in our lives and touch our hearts forever. Jazzy is one of those souls.
She came to us heartbreakingly thin… with a heavy spirit and a mass on her back right leg. Not long after arriving, she went lame. Fearing the worst, we rushed her to the vet. Blood tests brought us into the moment no one wants to face: the mass was cancerous. The word “cancer” hung heavy over us. We didn’t know what her future would be, but we promised her—whatever it took—she wouldn't face it alone.
But then, just a few days later, came a miracle. Our vet called with news we could hardly let ourselves believe: the cancer wasn’t life-threatening. Jazzy could still live a long, happy life. Relief washed over us. It felt like someone had handed her future back.
In the weeks that followed, we found the right care to keep her comfortable. Slowly, her eyes softened, her weight came back, and her sweet spirit found its spark again. Jazzy—who once seemed abandoned by the world—began seeking us out, asking to be close, trusting that love was real again.
She’s been comfortable and happy for months now, even nickering when we walk up. And just recently, we decided to see how she did under saddle. After three months off, she walked off perfectly—like she remembered every step. She still has that working horse heart, that drive, that “let’s go” sparkle. She’s best for an advanced beginner or someone kind, confident, and gentle.
And here’s the hardest part:
We love her.
We wanted to keep her. But we know she deserves more than what we can give—more one-on-one time, more moments with her person, more of the special attention she craves with that sweet, in-your-pocket nature. She's not just a horse, she’s a heart healer—a gentle soul who’s already survived so much, and still meets the world with hope in her eyes.
To help ensure she finds the perfect, committed match, we are asking a small adoption fee. This is not about money—but about making sure that the home she finds is one that truly values her and understands her journey.
🕊️ If you believe in second chances and have the love this brave girl deserves—Jazzy is waiting for you.
