Mocha is a 6-year-old mare standing about 15 hands and weighing around 1,100 lbs. She is very green and still learning, but underneath that inexperience is a kind, willing horse trying hard to understand and do the right thing.

She didn’t get the easiest start in life, and it shows in how carefully we are having to restart her. Because of that, she is being brought along slowly and correctly, with no rushing or shortcuts. In her evaluation, she showed honesty and did not offer any buck, only effort and try.

Mocha is soft-minded and responsive in small ways—she drops her head, softens, and shows you when she’s beginning to understand. On the ground she is easy to handle, loads, unloads, stands for baths, and yields to pressure. Every day she is learning to trust a little more.

Right now, she is not available for test rides or riding videos as she continues her restart. She is a project that requires patience, consistency, and someone willing to see potential where others may only see unfinished work.

Mocha’s story is still unfolding. She is not a finished horse, but she is trying—quietly and honestly—every step of the way.
