Mokie is a 9-year-old bay Quarter Horse gelding with a soul full of quiet courage and a heart that’s finally beginning to shine. After coming from a deeply abusive past, Mokie has come a long way—and it shows. He’s come into his own, gaining confidence, softness, and trust with every passing day.

His journey hasn’t been easy, but Mokie has proven that even the most wounded spirits can heal with love and patience. Thanks to consistent handling, gentle training, and kind-hearted care, Mokie is now doing better than ever—more open, more willing, and more connected.

However, due to an unexpected family emergency, Mokie’s owners have made the difficult decision to lower his price. This isn’t a reflection of his value—Mokie is priceless in many ways. It’s simply a matter of timing, and their priority is finding him the right home.

Mokie is what we call a “step-up” horse—ideal for a rider who understands the power of patience and the magic of earned trust. He truly wants to bond, to connect, and to please. He’s learning neck reining, responds well to leg pressure, and is becoming soft and responsive under saddle. While he still carries traces of his past, he faces each ride with a quiet bravery that is nothing short of inspiring.

His personality leans toward “more woah than go,” making him a steady, thoughtful partner once he feels safe. He’s been ridden out in open spaces and along the road, showing calm, consistent behavior even in unfamiliar settings.

Mokie is a horse in bloom—a story of redemption in motion. With the right person, this sweet gelding won’t just be a good horse—he’ll be the kind you’ll never forget.

📌 We are happy to hold Mokie for 7 days with a $300 deposit. The deposit is non-refundable but transferable to any other horse in the barn if he’s not the right fit.
