Pixie came to us quiet and thin, the kind of thin that tells you life had not been very kind to her yet. At just three years old, this little mare had already learned how to be overlooked. Standing right around 14 hands, she was all heart and not enough groceries, but even then she never acted afraid or wild. She was never crazy, never mean, just young and unsure.

We stepped in and gave her what she had been missing. Good feed, consistency, and patience. Pixie filled out, both in body and in spirit. As she gained weight, her personality bloomed. She is sweet and loving on the ground, easy to handle, and enjoys human attention. In the pasture she is submissive and gets along well with others. She hauls like a seasoned pro, loads and unloads quietly, and travels like she has done it her whole life.

Under saddle, Pixie is exactly what she should be for her age. She is not for a beginner, but she is also not a problem child. She simply needs miles and guidance. She is already getting experience down the road and handles traffic like a pro, staying level headed and willing. She has the mindset to make a really cool pony for a handy kid or confident rider who wants a project with a solid foundation and a bright future.
