That responsiveness is exactly why we recommend her for an advanced beginner rather than a brand-new rider. A new rider can sometimes give cues without realizing it, while a rider who understands the basics will appreciate how nicely River responds.
Out on the trail is where River really shines. She is comfortable riding down the road, through the woods, and out on the trails. She has a nice walk, trot, and lope and gives her rider an enjoyable, confidence-building ride.
