We’ve recently updated Sammy’s price—and for good reason. Since arriving at our facility, he’s been steadily gaining weight and blossoming into the incredible horse we knew he could be. While he still needs to put on a bit more, the transformation so far has been beautiful. More than just physically, Sammy has come into his own emotionally and mentally. He’s proven to be well-minded, incredibly sweet, and wonderfully willing.
Sammy is a 16-year-old bay gelding, standing around 15 hands tall, with a gentle soul and a heart as big as his journey. When he was first found, Sammy was in heartbreaking condition—severely underweight, neglected, and forgotten. But even in the worst of times, his kind spirit never wavered.
Thankfully, a compassionate individual stepped in and gave him the second chance he deserved. They began the process of helping him recover, but with a full herd of their own, they knew Sammy needed more one-on-one attention. That’s when he came to us—and what a blessing he’s been.
Since his arrival, Sammy has been used in beginner lessons and has even been ridden with nothing more than a string around his neck—that’s how gentle and responsive he is. He’s calm, respectful, and safe for riders of all levels. Sammy is one-hand broke, neck reins easily, and responds beautifully to soft cues. Whether you're new to riding or just want a dependable trail partner, he’s about as trustworthy as they come.
He also has excellent ground manners—stands quietly for grooming, leads politely, and picks up all four feet for the farrier without fuss. He gets along great with both mares and geldings in the pasture and is always happy to come greet you at the gate.
More than anything, Sammy is ready for someone to love him as much as he’ll love them. He’s not high-maintenance—he just wants consistency, a kind hand, and someone to call his own. He’s already been through the worst and has proven how strong and loving he is.

To ensure Sammy is still available for you to come try, we do accept a $300 deposit. This deposit is nonrefundable, but it is transferable to another horse in the barn if Sammy isn’t the right fit.
