Timmy is a 17-years-young Quarter Horse gelding standing approximately 14.2 hands, and he carries a story that still makes us pause when we look at him.

This sweet boy came to us from a truly heartbreaking situation. With the help of the local Sheriff’s Department, Timmy was rescued when he needed it most. When he arrived, he was painfully thin, worn down in body but never in spirit. Somehow, through everything he’s been through, Timmy held onto the one thing no one could take from him: his kind, trusting heart.

Despite his past, Timmy is nothing but gentle. He stands quietly for tacking, mounting, and the farrier, and handles everyday care with patience and grace. Under saddle, he neck reins and has a solid “more woah than go” attitude. Give him time off and he’s the same steady, reliable horse when you climb back on. He’s forgiving, uncomplicated, and truly wants to please.

Timmy is sweet like sugar, easy to catch, and gets along well with other horses. He doesn’t have a mean bone in his body. While his body showed the scars of neglect when he came to us, his heart never did. Timmy takes care of his rider in a quiet, selfless way, as if he’s just grateful to be loved.

This is a gelding who didn’t deserve the hand he was dealt, yet still offers everything he has. Timmy isn’t just a horse with a sad past, he’s a reminder of how resilient and forgiving they can be, and how powerful a second chance truly is.
