If you’re searching for a quiet, dependable horse for your child or family, Brandy is the horse we put at the top of our list.

Brandy is a 16-year-old Quarter Horse mare, approximately 14.2–14.3 hands, with the calm, easygoing personality that makes her such a special family horse. She is kid safe, beginner safe, and family safe.

Brandy is naturally more whoa than go. She isn’t looking for an excuse to speed up or take advantage of her rider. In fact, she would usually rather slow down than hurry. That is exactly the kind of attitude we value in a horse for children, beginners, nervous riders, and families.

She will walk, trot, and lope when asked, but her natural preference is to take things nice and easy. Brandy is also gentle and easy to handle on the ground.

💚 Why Brandy is our #1 kid-safe horse:• Kid safe and beginner safe• More whoa than go• Walk, trot and lope• Quiet, laid-back disposition• Gentle and easy to handle• Family and trail horse• Approximately 14.2–14.3 hands• The kind of horse we feel good about putting a family on

Brandy isn't about being the fastest or fanciest horse in the barn. Her value is in her mind, her temperament, and the confidence she can give her rider.

Sometimes the best family horse isn't asking, “How fast can we go?”

Brandy is more likely to ask, “Are you sure we can't just walk?” 😂💚
