Jessica’s Beauty is a registered 2012 Standardbred mare, standing approximately 15–15.1 hands. She rides both English and Western, and we especially like what we see from her under English tack. She has a naturally forward, ground-covering way of moving and the willingness to work that makes us believe she could be a very interesting dressage or English prospect.
Jessica is not for a total beginner. She is responsive and has more forward movement than we would choose for someone just learning to ride. We feel she is best suited for an advanced beginner or above who understands basic riding cues and is comfortable riding independently. For a rider who enjoys a horse that wants to go to work rather than one that needs to be constantly pushed along, Jessica has a lot to offer.
Jessica’s pedigree makes her even more interesting.
Her sire, Whosurboy, earned an impressive $1,633,394 during his racing career and recorded a 1:49 mark.
Her paternal grandsire, Artsplace, recorded a 1:49.2 mark and earned an extraordinary $3,085,083.
There is serious performance on her dam's side as well. Jessica’s dam, Jessica’s Dream, is by Gothic Dream, whose pedigree lists earnings of $1,528,671 and a 1:50.4 mark.
Her extended pedigree includes additional accomplished Standardbreds, including Sweet Reflection, with recorded earnings of $1,004,639, along with influential names such as Abercrombie, Albatross, Meadow Skipper, Most Happy Fella, and Niatross.
That performance background is one more reason we are excited about Jessica’s potential in a second career. She is not being represented as a finished dressage horse, but she has the athleticism, movement, responsiveness, and willingness that could give the right rider something very enjoyable to develop.
Jessica could go in several directions, including dressage, English pleasure, trail riding, or all-around pleasure riding. Deposits are non-refundable but transferable to another horse of your choice.
No horse will be held without a deposit. An appointment to come see or ride Jessica does not place her on hold. Until a deposit is received, she remains available to other buyers.
