Mystic is the kind of horse that turns heads without even trying—the quiet, confident type that lets his presence do the talking.
This bay Thoroughbred gelding stands a solid 16.2 hands and weighs approximately 1,100 lbs. Originally thought to be 8 years old, Mystic recently had a current PPE where we discovered he is actually an OTTB with a registered name of Define, foaled on May 25, 2020—making him just about 6 years old. This information was confirmed through his microchip, and the microchip number is documented on his PPE. While we do have his registered information, his physical papers have been lost, so he will be sold as grade. With that said, this new information only adds to his appeal—he’s young, talented, and still the same incredibly sweet, willing horse he’s always been.
Mystic carries a pedigree that speaks for itself. On the top side, he traces back to Fusaichi Zenon, known for contributing athleticism, refinement, and versatility. On the bottom side, he goes back to Desert Moccasin, a line recognized for durability, heart, and substance. This combination helps explain Mystic’s natural balance, willing mind, and smooth way of going—he’s built with both the talent and the temperament to excel.
Mystic is currently going in front shoes and is an absolute gentleman for the farrier—stands like a statue and handles everything with ease. On the ground, he is as kind as they come. Sweet, affectionate, and easy to be around, he’s the type that meets you at the gate and genuinely enjoys attention.
Under saddle, Mystic is a dream to ride. He goes both English and Western and carries himself with a natural balance and softness that makes every ride enjoyable. He’s more “whoa” than “go,” making him a comfortable, confidence-building partner—truly the kind that anyone who can get on him can ride and enjoy. His trot is smooth and steady with a nice short jog, and when asked, he steps into a beautiful, eye-catching extended trot. His lope is just as enjoyable—controlled, collected, and easy to sit.
Mystic is not a spooky horse and handles new environments with a level head. With his movement and demeanor, he has all the tools to shine in the show pen with the right rider. At the same time, he’s just as happy heading down the trail, making him a versatile partner for whatever direction you choose.
He is fully vaccinated, has a current PPE on file, and comes with all available records.
