💚 Rocky | Kid-Safe Family Trail Gelding
Rocky is the kind of horse we really appreciate for children, beginners, and families. He has a quiet, easygoing nature and would much rather take his time than hurry anywhere.
Rocky is definitely more whoa than go. He will walk and trot willingly, but when you ask him to lope, you will need to put some leg into him and encourage him to pick up the pace. That is one of the things we especially like about horses like Rocky for children. We would much rather have a horse that needs encouragement to go faster than one a child is constantly trying to slow down.
Rocky direct reins and does not neck rein. He is straightforward to ride and responds well to simple rein cues.
He is a beautiful Paint gelding, approximately 10 years old and 14.3 hands tall, with a nice solid build. Rocky is happiest taking things at an easy pace and makes a wonderful choice for someone looking for a dependable family trail horse.
Rocky also gets along well with both mares and geldings in the pasture, making him an easy addition to a mixed herd.
