Shez Cool and Famous is a registered AQHA mare whose body arrived before her hope did.

The day Cool stepped off the trailer, everything went quiet. She was painfully thin, hollow through her topline, her coat dull and her eyes tired in a way that only comes from being forgotten for too long. She did not look around. She did not ask questions. She simply stood there, small inside herself, like a horse who had learned that expecting anything only leads to disappointment. It was the kind of sight that makes your throat tighten before you even realize you are crying.

She had clearly been running on empty for a long time. Empty feed pans. Empty promises. Empty chances. And yet, somehow, her spirit was still there. Not loud. Not demanding. Just quietly alive.

We took our time with her. Groceries. Soft voices. No pressure. No rush. Day by day, she began to change. Each pound gained felt like reclaiming something that had been stolen from her. Each small improvement felt fragile and sacred. As her body started to come back, her heart followed. Slowly, carefully, she let herself believe again.

Now, Cool is showing us who she really is. She is gentle in a way that cannot be trained. Kind in a way that cannot be forced. She is very much more whoa than go, riding with an ease that feels like a deep breath after holding one too long. Her trot and lope are smooth and comforting, but what truly sets her apart is her instinct to protect the person on her back. If a rider becomes unbalanced, Cool will stop on her own, quietly waiting until they are okay. She does not panic. She does not rush. She chooses care.

She is not spooky. She is not reactive. She does not carry anger from her past. Somehow, heartbreak never hardened her. She still tries. She still trusts. She still wants to be good. Horses like this do not come along often, and when they do, they deserve everything.

Cool is still gaining weight and will continue to improve with proper care. As she fills out and becomes stronger, her price will increase. She is not a finished product yet, because healing takes time. She deserves a home that understands that her past matters, and that her future should be steady, gentle, and full.

Cool was foaled on March 21, 2007 and stands approximately 15 hands high. She is ready for a home where she will never have to wonder if food is coming, where hands are kind, and where she is never treated as disposable again.

A $300 deposit will hold Cool for 7 days. This deposit is non-refundable, but transferable if she does not work out for you.
